Early College

What is Early College?

Early College is an opportunity for New Albany High School students to begin their college career while they are in high school.  Our students can make significant progress toward their college degrees at a very low cost while they are still in high school.

Types of Early College Classes:

  • Dual Credit: These are courses that are taken by high school students that can satisfy requirements for earning both a high school diploma and a college degree. These are taught by New Albany High School teachers and students earn both high school credit and can earn college credit.
  • Advanced Placement: These are courses that are taken by high school students following College Board curriculum requirements. Students will take an AP Exam in the Spring and if students earn a score of 3,4,5 they can earn college credit at their future college.
