A student who earns the ICC will be able to take the 30 hours earned and apply them to any Indiana public college or university.
A student wanting to earn a Transfer General Education Core Certificate must take a minimum of 3 hours in each of the following (6) areas of studies. The remaining credit hours can be earned in any of the Dual Credit courses listed below.
This certificate will allow students to transfer ALL 30 HOURS TO ANY INDIANA PUBLIC COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY (IU, Purdue, Indiana State, University of Southern Indiana, Ball State, Vincennes, Ivy Tech, Indiana State). All 30 hours must be complete for the transfer to occur

*Students should also keep in mind that Advanced Placement (AP) courses in which the student earns a 3, 4 or 5 can be counted for this certificate. For example, if a student scores a 3 or above on the AP Psychology exam, he or she may apply that class in the area of “Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing.” It will be worth 3 hours.
With proper Dual Credit course selections and by demonstrating college readiness, students may be able to complete (or come close to completing) the Associates of General Studies (AGS) at their High School. To help complete this degree, High School students may also utilize courses held at the Ivy Tech Sellersburg campus through the “TACOU” program or online. There is a minimum of 2 required 1 hour courses that students must complete on campus at IVY TECH (average cost $150 each). This achievement will be documented on their Ivy Tech transcript.
