*Students should also keep in mind that Advanced Placement (AP) courses in which the student earns a 3, 4 or 5 can be counted for this certificate.  For example, if a student scores a 3 or above on the AP Psychology exam, he or she may apply that class in the area of “Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing.”  It will be worth 3 hours.

With proper Dual Credit course selections and by demonstrating college readiness, students may be able to complete (or come close to completing) the Associates of General Studies (AGS) at their High School.  To help complete this degree, High School students may also utilize courses held at the Ivy Tech Sellersburg campus through the “TACOU” program or online.  There is a minimum of 2 required 1 hour courses that students must complete on campus at IVY TECH (average cost $150 each). This achievement will be documented on their Ivy Tech transcript.
