Dedicated to Teaching Since 1853

Alumni Association

A Proud Tradition…
Opening in 1853, New Albany High School, as the state’s first public high school, has a long and rich tradition of alumni achievement and support.
In August 1986, a challenge was issued to the members of the classes of 1936 1/2, 1937, and 1937 1/2. The challenge was to create a fund to act as an aid to deserving NAHS students or groups of students to help them accomplish their educational goals.
Through this initiative, the NAHS Alumni Memorial Fund and the NAHS Alumni Association were created. Since that time, the Memorial Fund has awarded thousands of dollars in classroom grants that directly impact students, as well as stipends to recognize National Merit Finalists. A more recent accomplishment is the establishment of the NAHS Hall of Fame.

Into the 21st Century…
As we enter the 21st century, now is the time for NAHS alumni to continue the fine example of those who went before us and make sure that a vibrant, thriving alumni association continues to bring benefits to NAHS long into the future.
